Pink Panther is pouncing back into the zeitgeist!
Fans are encouraged to celebrate all things pink with Metro Goldwyn Mayer’s (MGM) first-ever Pink Panther Month, which is slated for next June. This month-long celebration of Pink Panther and everything pink will feature innovation collaborations, product launches, thematic retail activations, and experiential initiatives. Pink Panther Month — and the announcement of it — even syncs up with National Pink Day, which June 23 (today!).
There’s also plenty of merch on the way for Pink Panther. MGM is currently building on a roster of new and first-time partners for Pink Panther Month. MGM has already signed some new licensing partners, all set to debut merch by early next year. At the moment, this includes Nowhere Co. Ltd. (aka Bathing Ape) for apparel here in the U.S., along with a selection of international partners, such as Grendene SA for footwear in Brazil and United Labels AG for a variety of products in Germany, Australia, Switzerland, and the UK. All of the products will feature Pantone’s new “Pink Panther Pink” shade, which debuted last year as a collaboration between Pantone and MGM.
These new collaborations join the brand’s recent partnerships with fashion and retail brands including H&M, Zara, Mimi Wade, and PopMart.
Pink Panther Month comes after a highly successful year for the beloved animated panther and his famously suave looks. Leaning into the nostalgia boom, Pink Panther remains popular after more than 50 years of movies, comics, and merch.
