On Feb. 27, 1996, the first Pokémon games — Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green — launched in Japan. So, over the past 26 years, this day has been termed Pokémon Day in celebration of the video game series. There are a lot of announcements, and we’re here to make sure you catch ‘em all.

Leading up to and on the fan-fueled holiday, The Pokémon Company will be using its social media channels to announce upcoming Pokémon releases. Of course, what would a celebration be without new merch? The Pokémon Center is set to launch a variety of new apparel and accessories for Pokémon Day, including new custom skateboards in the Bear Walker collection. The new skateboards feature fan-favorite Pokémon — including Pikachu, Sylveon, and Umbreon — and feature textured surfaces for a sturdy grip. The boards retail for $249.99 and are available for purchase now at pokemoncenter.com, where the rest of the collection will launch.
