As all Pokémon trainers are probably aware by now, there’s a new adventure set to take off Jan. 28. With excitement building for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Nintendo has graciously gifted us a 13-minute video about the game, revealing new details about the Hisui region that gamers will soon attempt to conquer.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a game designed for the Nintendo Switch that transports users to the ancient region of Hisui (that would later come to be called the Sinnoh region), a place where people and Pokémon lived in dissonance. The objective of the game? Survey, catch, and research wild Pokémon in the region to create Hisui’s first Pokédex.
The new video is a gameplay preview, unveiling different tools that will be accessible throughout the game, including healing items, lures, and smoke bombs. As viewers learn how to use said tools, they are also exposed to the various landscapes of the game, each one home to an entirely different ecosystem; one a sunny, open field, another a snowy mountaintop.
