“Subbuteo” is a game most Americans may not have heard of, but this football (soccer) strategy game by Hasbro is something of a retro classic across the pond, selling more than 7 million sets per year in the ’80s. The tabletop game — which is basically a blend of foosball, pool, and air hockey — is actually getting its own merch collab with British lifestyle brand Pretty Green.
This collab will include not only a limited-edition Pretty Green figure that fans can use in their Subbuteo games, but also a selection of Subbuteo-inspired apparel and accessories. There will be a Pretty Green x Subbuteo track top, a bucket hat, a key ring, and four different T-shirts. All of these pieces will be co-branded and limited edition, and they are set to debut on the Pretty Green site this month, in time with the World Cup. While Pretty Green is a UK-based brand, the collection will also be available online for U.S. residents.
This is the latest licensed collection from Pretty Green, which has also released official apparel for The Who, John Lennon, and Elvis, among others. Pretty Green also offers a wide variety of unofficial football (soccer) items, including a variety of shirts, gloves, and even a paisley-pattered soccer ball.
