The latest Sesame Street apparel collection for adult fans of the classic series gets a little bit anatomical. The line is part of a new Blank Slate series by Champion Athleticwear, available exclusively at Foot Locker. This collaboration taps notable creators for limited-edition items, beginning with artists’ reimaginings of classic Sesame Street characters.
Starting this week, fans can get T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and pants featuring designs by Jason Freeny. Freeny is a sculptor who is known for his anatomical character dissections, which he brings to these Sesame Street designs with “dissected” images of Cookie Monster, The Count, Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, and Elmo. This is technically the second Sesame Street release in the Blank Slate program — contemporary artist Naturel also designed a lineup of apparel that launched in December, combining Sesame Street characters with a pop art influence. His collection is available to shop here.
The pieces in these Blank Slate collections range in price from $35-75 and come in adult sizes.
