Sony will bring together all of its first-party gaming titles under an umbrella brand called PlayStation Studios, an update that the company introduced today with a video.
The video features a Marvel-esque mix of characters from Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us. Fans can expect to see slightly different versions of this video in trailers, advertising, game packaging, and even on the game discs (you know, the footage you’ll most certainly ignore before your game starts). Check it out below.

Eric Lempel, the senior vice president and head of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment told gameindustry.biz that fans might not realize that games such as Uncharted 4, Spider-Man, and Horizon: Zero Dawn had been released by Sony. PlayStation Studios will clear up any confusion on where games are coming from, he expects. The brand will apply to any games developed by Sony’s first-party studios, as well as any games made by work-for-hire developers.
PlayStation Studios will officially launch alongside the PS5, which is due out before sometime before the holidays.
