Nothing goes together like fine design and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
A global design competition from Prospect 100 is asking young artists to get inspired by the sewer-dwelling heroes. In a partnership with ViacomCBS Consumer Products and Nickelodeon, the competition will provide a platform for new artists, illustrators, designers, *and* Turtle fans.
Each applicant should be between the ages of 16-25 years old and create an original art piece inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The winner of the competition will have their design turned into a collection of TMNT merch. This means for us less-artistically inclined folks, we can buy the new designs and feel like we’re a part of the club!
The merch will be sold through Amazon and available globally in August. The winner will also receive a hefty cash prize of $7,000 and we assume at least one slice of pizza.
Judges include TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman of Kevin Eastman Studios, internet art sensations Harry Hambley and Danny Casale, and the MoMA-exhibited artist Andre Saraiva. Designs will be judged on their originality and authenticity. To enter the competition head here before July 8 at 6:59 EST and follow @prospect100 on Instagram.
Good luck and cowabunga!
