Big news Joker fans: Warner Bros’ Joker will hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
The release date and title were fittingly revealed at Comic-Con International: San Diego.
With an approximate $55 million budget, Joker is meant to be darker and more experimental in tone than movies in the same scope. Think crime drama.
The film, which comes from Todd Phillips (The Hangover, War Dogs) and executive producer Martin Scorsese, will be another blockbuster in an already stacked October lineup that includes Ang Lee’s Gemini Man starring Will Smith; Dwayne Johnson’s  Jungle Cruise; John Crowley’s adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Goldfinch; and Joe Wright’s adaptation of The Woman in the Window.
