Picture the scene: You’re playing a hysterical game of What Do You Meme? when one of your hands includes an inside joke from senior year of college, while the image card features a cringe-worthy photo pulled from the depths of your best friend’s middle-school MySpace account. Excellent.
For those who may not be familiar, What Do You Meme is an adult party game in which players offer up meme-style captions — via cards — for random images, and a judge chooses their favorite each round. Now, the company is offering custom decks that fans can shuffle into their existing What Do You Meme games, just like any of the existing expansion packs.
With the custom decks, you can write your own captions and/or supply your own photos to use in the game, which makes for a fun gift or a great way to reveal a big announcement. Generally, anything goes on these cards, but there are a few rules to follow, which include no inappropriate words, no hate speech, no offensive/explicit content, and no copyrighted images (like stills from movies).
A deck of custom cards costs $19.99 and includes up to 15 cards, which can include all photo cards, all caption cards, or any combination of the two. If 15 cards just isn’t enough to showcase all of your best candid shots or friendly jabs and your besties, you can add packages of 10 cards to your order for $9.99 each.
