As we all know by now, thanks to a little animated movie that hit theaters 20 years ago, ogres are like onions. They have layers!
But do you know what doesn’t have layers? The newest figures from Youtooz. What you see is what you get, and what you get is a pair of must-have collectibles for any Shrek fan.
Youtooz is releasing two Shrek vinyl figures today: a 5-inch Shrek and a 4.5-inch Donkey, both reimagined in Youtooz’ signature style. The Shrek figure is posed in his scariest Ogre roar, warding off any unwelcome visitors from his swamp. Donkey, meanwhile is seated and laughing — you can almost hear him shouting “Pick me! Pick me!”
Both figures come in themed window boxes that are ideal for display. The interior of Shrek’s box features his swamp (complete with the “Beware Ogre” sign), while Donkey’s is illustrated to look like the castle where he and Shrek rescue Fiona from Elizabeth the Dragoness.
The figures cost $29.99 each and are sold separately. But who are we kidding, they absolutely belong together! They will be available to preorder from youtooz.com starting today, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. ET. They are expected to ship in late December.
