Konami is giving fans a sneak peek at some Yu-Gi-Oh! upgrades coming next year.
In the spring, fans will enjoy three brand new strategies with the new Ancient Guardians booster. This 60-card booster set will couple the new gameplay elements with older cards that enhance them and will feature 10 Ultra Rares, 15 Super Rares, and 35 Rares. Plus, 15 cards in the set are also available as Collector’s Rares.
With the Graveyard-based strategy, players will utilize the hard-to-find older cards to help make their Graveyard rain with monsters to pit against an opponent. Pendulum Summon lets players compose a new harmony, and the new booster will also include classic cards for Pendulum strategies, including Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer; and Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer. Finally, Ancient Guardians will introduce a new theme with a spin on Synchro Summoning, but details on that one are still TBA.
And once you’ve mastered all three of the new strategies Ancient Guardians has to offer, round out your new Yu-Gi-Oh! offerings with some epic accessories. These items are so new, they don’t even have real names yet!
The four new accessories include a 50-pack of card sleeves, a nine-pocket Duelist Portfolio, a card case, and a full-sized game mat. All of the new items feature artwork that includes the legendary Egyptian Gods Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra.
The new accessories will be available in June and range from $3.99-14.99.
