Sorry, can you repeat that?!
To play, everyone is divided up into two teams. One player places the speech-cancelling headphones over their ears. The rest of their teammates try to mouth the phrase on the card, while the player in the headphones tries to guess what phrase they’re saying by reading their lips. And as someone who is not great at reading their friends’ lips while they’re trying to dish hot goss in public, this is a challenge that ends in hilarity. Phrases such as “Let’s find cupcakes and eat them” and “Pigeons like to cuddle,” turn into “That’s fine, I’ll take a nap,” and “Peaches and cream.”
Once a player guesses a phrase correctly, the teammate draws another card and keeps going until the timer runs out. The active team tries to earn as many cards as possible in the allotted time. However, if they pass on a card, the opposing team automatically gets those points. Players have to be strategic on which cards they pass on—and how many. Sometimes it’s better just to barrel on through, and keep up the good fight until your teammate guesses correctly because the team with the most cards at the end of the game wins!
The game comes with everything you need to play, including the headphones with built-in sounds and a timer, 150 cards to guess, and instructions. Plus, with so many cards, families and friends can play over and over again and still be challenged.
