These boots are made for walkin’ and these LEGO bricks are made for buildin’!
The “boots” in question, however, are actually Adidas Superstar sneakers. Adidas and The LEGO Group are partnering again, this time offering both a LEGO-fied version of the iconic Superstar sneaker and a buildable LEGO version to satisfy sneakerheads and brickheads alike.
The Adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneakers feature the classic black-and-white leather construction of the shoe, with a brick-tastic twist: The three stripes, shell toe, and heel tab are made with a blocky LEGO pattern. The style is topped off with gold foil accents to help the LEGO features stand out. The sneaker comes in both adult and kids sizing, though the latter offers more colorful options. The youth sizes in this collab come in four different colors — red, yellow, green, and blue — marked on the shell toe and heel tab.
For fans who want to “build up” their shoe collection, the LEGO Group is also offering a constructible Superstar sneaker. The iconic Superstar serrated stripes, shell toe shape, trefoil logo, and graphics are consistent throughout the brick design. The set features 731 pieces with 17 extra LEGO elements to help design the left-foot or right-foot sneaker. Measuring 4.7 inches high, 10.6 inches long, and 3.5 inches wide when built, this bricked-up shoe even comes with shoelaces and a shoebox to add to the authentic vibe. To top it off, the set comes with a display stand and plaque.
To celebrate the Adidas x LEGO collab, the LEGO Group is encouraging fans to customize their own versions of the brick-built sneaker and upload their creations to social media with the hashtag #rebuiltbyoriginals.
