The U.S.S. Enterprise’s next mission is scheduled, and its taking Star Trek to the blockchain.

Recur and Paramount Global are introducing Star Trek non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as the first NFT digital collection in a multi-year partnership.

These digital collectibles will launch on “Star Trek Continuum,” an experiential hub that will house all seasons of Star Trek NFTS. The first collection, aka “Season 0,” will feature algorithmically-generated starships that are entirely unique and extremely limited-edition. 20,000 digital collectibles will become available with an additional 2,000 NFTs in reserve. The starships will be unveiled tomorrow, April 8, during Star Trek: Mission Chicago. At the event, Recur will host a star-studded panel of talent from the franchise. Fans can tune in to a livestream of the event and a reveal of the digital collectibles on Recur’s YouTube channel

Later this year, the Star Trek journey will continue with the release of “Season 1,” in which fans can collect crew members and go on voyages around the galaxy to seek out new planets and get NFT rewards.

Star Trek fans can pre-register for these digital collectibles on startrek.xyz until April 9 when the Star Trek Continuum collection sale will go live for only 24 hours. Each NFT pack will cost $250. In the future, Continuum owners will get access to exclusive events, perks, and other content to expand the utility of NFTs digitally and in real life.
