If you’ve ever wished bedtime stories were a bit more action-packed, you’ll love the new DC-themed children’s books from Downtown Bookworks.
The six titles are perfect for superhero-loving parents or any comic book fan who’s young at heart. Each is designed to teach and empower children while familiarizing them with the classic heroes and villains of DC Comics.
Made for kids ages 3 and under, there is Super Heroes Say Please, a book that talks about the importance of manners, and Bath Time with Aquaman, a waterproof book that teaches kids about Aquaman and his powers (the illustrated version, not Jason Momoa).
The Big Book of Super-Villains and The Big Book of Super Hero Bedtime Stories are made for kids ages 4 and up. They teach kids about the backstories and powers of the good guys and the bad ones.
For older kids ages 6 and up, there is are activity-based books. DC Super Hero Science takes a look at the role science may play in the world of superheroes (can science make Wonder Woman’s Plane invisible or help Aquaman breathe underwater?). It also includes experiments. Girl Power Brain Boosters focuses on the heroines of DC and includes more than 100 puzzles and games.
The new books will join the existing collection of Downtown Bookworks’ titles for young heroes already available for purchase. These include a hero cookbook, joke book, and board book boxed set.
All titles will be released between September and November, just in time for the holidays!
