San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is almost here and to celebrate, Diamond Select Toys (DST) announced nine exclusive products for this year’s con! There’s truly something for every fan — the collection includes figures from Marvel, Avatar The Last Airbender, Transformers, Cobra Kai, and more!
First up is the Avatar The Last Airbender Gallery Antique Aang PVC Diorama ($50), which measures 12-inches tall and features a sculpture of Aang rising out of a glossy wind storm. Aang is captured in faux bronze and includes detailed sculpting and paint applications.
For Marvel fans, DST is releasing a Marvel Animated Spider-Man Spider-Sense Bust ($60), which shows Peter Parker getting an alert. Spider-Man is pictured with his spider-sense going off, inverting the colors of his costume, as seen in the classic animated series. At approximately 6-inches tall, this bust is limited to 1000 pieces. DST is also releasing a Marvel Comic Gallery Phoenix PVC Diorama ($50). This sculpture of Phoenix shows her emerging from a flaming phoenix symbol in her classic green costume.
There are also a few options for fans of Netflix’s Cobra Kai. Karate enthusiasts can take home the Cobra Kai Retro Action Figure 2-Pack ($60) that pairs up Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in their classic karate gis. Each 7-inch figure features 16 points of articulation and comes packaged in a folding, full-color window box.
If you don’t want both, you can take home an individual Cobra Kai action figure of either Johnny Lawrence or Daniel LaRusso ($25 each). These individual figures feature 16 points of articulation and include a display base, as well as a VHS-style clamshell case.
To round off the individual action figures, DST is releasing a John Wick VHS Action Figure ($25) that features 16 points of articulation. This 7-inch figure of John Wick shows John Wick in his classic suit from the first movie. DST is also releasing a Bruce Lee VHS Action Figure ($25). Bruce Lee also features 16 points of articulation and depicts him shirtless, in black packs, and holding nunchucks, escrima sticks, and a bo staff. As with the Cobra Kai figures, both John Wick and Bruce Lee come with a display base and a VHS-style clamshell case.
Lastly, DST is releasing the Transformers Minimates VHS Box Set ($30) that includes a four-pack of the Autobots and the Decepticons in their cartoon colors. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Megatron look just as they did on TV and feature multiple points of articulation. These 2-inch figures come with fully interchangeable parts and accessories, and slide out of an illustrated VHS sleeve.
All nine DST exclusives will be available at the DST booth on the SDCC show floor. Can’t wait that long? The figures are currently available for preorder at diamondselecttoys.com. Happy con!
