Welcome to the night of the meowing, living dead!
Exploding Kittens is launching a new expansion to its popular, eponymous card game, Exploding Kittens. In the new version, called Zombie Kittens players explode and then come back to life … and then maybe explode again. As countless zombie movies have taught us, it’s hard to get rid of the living dead!
This newest iteration is the seventh installment in the Exploding Kittens universe and follows the launch of a Netflix-exclusive mobile game. For the first time in any version, players who explode can be “resurrected” and come back into the game. Zombie Kittens also features new cards and new art from Matthew Inman, creator of the comic series The Oatmeal.
The game is quick to learn and takes only 15 minutes to play. Although it’s meant for groups of two to five players, Zombie Kittens can be paired with the original Exploding Kittens so that up to nine people can play at a time.
Zombie Kittens is currently available at Target and explodingkittens.com for $20.99 and will be available in August at Walmart. Even though learning to play is a no-brainer (get it?), the video below goes over all the gory details. So turn on the
“Monster Mash” and get ready to experience a purr-fectly spooky time!
