With the last concert of Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour approaching next year, there is no better time to embrace Rocket Man’s legacy through an adorable collectible.
Steiff, the German-based company known for its high-end teddy bears, has launched a limited-edition Elton John bear. The bear is 11 inches tall and is five-way jointed. Its fur is light-colored mohair (a mohair suit, if you will), which is colored to look like the pink, satin jacket that Elton John wears on the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album cover art, complete with the green “Elton John” embroidered on the back.
One of the bear’s feet is printed with artwork from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and the other has the Elton John “E.” The full ensemble comes together with a pair of glasses from the Elton John eyewear collection, and the bear is even rocking an earring in one ear!
The bear makes a perfect gift or addition to any rock ‘n’ roll collection. There will only be 3,000 of these limited-edition bears available, for $395 each. The bear is available to preorder now on eltonjohn.com and will also be available from steiffusa.com starting on July 4.
