Wake up, collectors! Sideshow’s “New York” Con is here!
This week, timed to New York Comic Con (NYCC) Sideshow is bringing fans an online convention experience with a bunch of cool collectibles to commemorate the city that never sleeps! The event is open now and will continue until Oct. 9.
Starting off strong, Hot Toys is releasing new Star Wars collectibles with a video that gives fans a look into new Darth Vader, Reva (Third Sister), and The Grand Inquisitor (featured in the Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi) figures. Additionally, Hot Toys is introducing several Clone Wars 1/6 scale figures, featuring Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Anakin Skywalker and STAP, Darth Maul, and Echo! There are also multiple The Mandalorian-inspired 1/6 figures, such as Din Djarin, The Mandalorian and The Child (Deluxe) set, Boba Fett (Deluxe), The Dark Trooper, Boba Fett (Repaint Armor), Moff Gideon, and a Grogu figure set.
Sideshow is presenting a bunch of Critical Role collectibles, including a Vox Machina collection that features Grog, Keyleth, the Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt Vex, and the Champion of the Matron of Ravens Vax. Characters from the Mighty Nein were also displayed – including Fjord and Beau. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was also featured in Prime 1 Studio’s Museum Masterline Series. A Geralt of Rivia (Deluxe) 1:3 scale statue was displayed in the event.
Iron Studios presented two new Mortal Kombat 1/10 scale statues, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. An exclusive Aeon Flux Statue was also introduced by Premium Collectibles Studio, featuring a 1/3 scale statue. Another fan-favorite series, How To Train Your Dragon, made an appearance at the convention, with statues of Toothless, the Light Fury, and their kids Dart, Pouncer, and Ruffrunner.
Switching gears to the music industry … a Michael Jackson: Smooth Criminal Deluxe 1/3 Scale Statue by Pure Arts features real custom-tailored clothing on the legend himself.
To see the amazing collections, you can join Sideshow’s hosts at 10 a.m. PT every day during Oct. 6-9 for an exclusive live tour! At 2 p.m. PT, fans can watch a daily desk show for news about the convention, and check in again at 5 p.m. PT for a wrap-up of the day.
