The fearsome Manglors rise again! | Source: Toyfinity

After 40 years, the Manglors rise again!

Originally created by the Ideal Toy Company in 1983, the Action Aliens called Manglors are fierce warriors and strange creatures from the planet Uzalek. Made of sobothane, the action figures were known for being stretchy, malleable, and sticky. But they were a bit too stretchy and easily torn apart by kids.

Now, they are back with a new redesign from Matt Doughty and Erwin Papa for Toyfinity. Developed over 10 years, the new Manglord Protolord stands at 4.25 inches and uses a Glyos System of joint technology that allows collectors to tear the figures apart and stick them back together again. To improve your collection, you can mix your Manglors with any other Glyos-compatible collectible to create even scarier monsters.

On Jan. 29, Toyfinity launched a throwback to the standard color Manglord, which sold out in less than two hours. Luckily, this collectible will be available again during a special five-day reorder period ($26). You can also preorder the Manglord’s evil enemy Protolord for your collection ($26). He comes in a light green color with piercing red eyes. His short, growling minions, the Promotmordles, are also available for $10. The presale began on Feb. 6 and will run until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 10. All preorders begin shipping in May.

Anyone who purchases these collectibles during the preorder period will also receive exclusive products, such as an art card of an intense battle between Manglor and Protolord and two versions of vintage-style Prehi-storage Eggs ($3.00 each). This exclusive and renewed Manglor merchandise is available for preorder at the links below.
