Love him, feed him, and never leave him. Brands across the world are launching new items, experiences, and more in partnership with Sony Pictures for The Garfield Movie.
Now in theaters, The Garfield Movie is a feature film about the iconically lazy lasagna-loving cat, and more than 150 brand partners will bring the famous feline to products and promotions worldwide. From Olive Garden’s “Garfield Approved” lasagna to La-Z-Boy’s limited edition “La-Z-Cat” chairs, fans can celebrate the new film in all kinds of ways.
Motel 6 has appointed Garfield as its Chief Pet Officer and will offer 10 Garfield-themed suites complete with orange bedspreads, pizza-themed bedding, and a mini-fridge stocked with frozen lasagna. Fresh Step created a limited-edition Garfield Fresh Step box exclusively available at Walmart. Proceeds from sales of the box between May 1 and June 9 will fund a litter donation of up to a million pounds to Best Friends Animal Society.
Burger King will feature Garfield-themed menu items, including branded paper crowns, collectible kids meal toys, and in-store kiosk wraps. Tastykake will sell orange-striped cupcakes at the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park stadium. Popchips created a Nacho cheese flavor available at major retailers. When it’s time to burn off the extra carbs, fans can turn to Echelon Fitness’ “Train like you love Mondays” series, including morning bike rides.
Globally, fans can experience Roborock’s hands-free, all-in-one vacuum and mop to clean (or not clean) like Garfield. Watch out for the infamous orange cat popping up in other places including Purina, Pizza Hut, Domino’s Pizza, Little Caesars Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Hello Fresh, IKEA, Hyatt, and more.
