Sometimes, the most unexpected collaborations are some of our favorites. What we’re trying to say is that K-pop superstars BTS and the Minions are teaming up for the launch of Despicable Me 4.
Universal Products and Experiences is unveiling a collection of apparel and accessories featuring the K-pop band to highlight the new Despicable Me 4 character, Poppy Prescott, who is a proud member of the BTS Army. The collection includes T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and hats that transform the members of BTS into Minions. Each member of the Minion-ified boy band is wearing their look as seen in the “Permission to Dance” music video. If apparel and accessories aren’t enough for you, you can grab the BTS boys as Minions in Funko Pop! form, too. The 7-pack will be available for preorder on Entertainment Earth starting Friday, June 21.
The collection is available for preorder until July 1 on the Weverse U.S. Shop and is coming soon to Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. If you’re looking to shop the lineup IRL, a Despicable Me 4 x BTS pop-up is headed to Los Angeles, Seoul, and Tokyo. At the pop-up, you can explore Poppy Prescott’s Tree House, experience interactive activations, and snag the merch.
Even if you don’t plan on seeing Despicable Me 4 this summer, this collaboration is sure to go down as one of the most iconic partnerships of the year.
