LEGO and Pokémon fans can look forward to a long-anticipated project on the horizon, as plans for a brand new collection are in motion, with a first launch set for sometime next year. This collaboration marks the first time the two companies have teamed up, and with more than 1,000 Pokémon currently in the series, the possibilities for Pokémon LEGO building sets feel endless.

Trainers will soon be able to build their favorite Pokémon in the classic LEGO style, and while there is no official information just yet on which ones will be included in the collection or the release date, Pikachu is bound to be included, as hinted by his iconic lightning bolt-shaped tail shown in the initial teaser.

For more information, check out the official teaser below, and visit the LEGO website for future updates. LEGO Insiders members can also sign up for a newsletter to get updates right as they drop.
