Write Your Next Big Adventure with Lord of the Rings Fountain Pens

Whether you’re writing a letter to a friend, an entry in your journal, or the next great fantasy novel, you need a proper tool to do it. Ferris Wheel Press is launching a collection of fountain pens and ink inspired by The Lord of the Rings on Kickstarter.

There are three fountain pens in the collection, each of which features a One Ring engraving on the cap, a gold-plated grip detailed with imagery from the series, a standard nib, and a Tengwar fine calligraphy nib. The Ringbearer fountain pen is inspired by Frodo and is an olive green color with etchings featuring Frodo’s Leaf of Lórien brooch, the engraving on his sword, and the One Ring on its chain. The Gandalf fountain pen is a shimmery white color and features engravings of his staff, his pipe, and the embroidery on his sleeves. The Sauron fountain pen is a menacing red and features engravings of the Black Gates of Mordor, the silhouette of Sauron’s helmet, and Barad-Dûr. 

As with any fountain pen, you need Lord of the Rings ink to go with your Lord of the Rings fountain pens. There are three different ink colors available: Verdant Voyage, a yellow-green ink with a golden shimmer; Dawning Silver, a gray ink with silver shimmer; and Shadows of Mordor, a red ink with golden sparkles. The inks are available in 28mL and 10 mL jars, so writers can stock up as much as they need.

All three pens and inks are available in bundles or individually. You can help fund the Kickstarter campaign at kickstarter.com. The campaign is already fully funded, but you can shop these pens and inks until April 30. The entire collection is expected to ship in August.
