Asmodee Entertainment and Pollard Banknote Limited are joining forces to make Ticket to Ride and Catan scratch-off lottery tickets that will be available in the U.S. and Canada.
With board games becoming more and more popular, the two companies wanted to appeal to the 18-35 age demographic with scratch tickets that reflect some of Asmodee’s most popular games. Pollard Banknote has already adapted some of fans’ favorite games into scratch tickets, including Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Pong.
Asmodee shared a concept image for the Catan-themed scratch ticket, which has 19 chances for players to win $10, $20, $100, $1,000, or $30,000. The scratch-off squares are arranged like a Catan board, each hidden behind a terrain tile. The numbers that you are trying to match are hidden along the top of the card, behind images of settlement and city pieces. The background of the scratch ticket depicts imagery from the game — specifically a mountain range overlooking farmland.
Pollard Banknote is the latest licensing deal Asmodee’s top-selling games, joining companies like Fanattik, Dark Horse Comics, Ata-Boy, and more.
