The Caped Crusader has arrived for his latest mission. This time, he is saying goodbye to Gotham City and hello to the blockchain.

Today, as part of the ongoing NFT LA Conference (yes, that is a thing that is happening), Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Palm NFT Studio unmasked The Bat Cowl Collection, a selection of 200,000 3D-rendered nonfungible tokens (NFTs) of Batman cowls from throughout the hero’s 83 years in DC Comics.

Each of the 200,000 Batman Cowl NFTs will come with a distinct identity and traits. This collection is intended to be the first step toward fans creating their own unique identities in the DC Universe and unlocking rewards for Web3 experiences. DC also plans to integrate this collection into future stories from DC Comics.

Fans who purchase one of these limited-edition digital collectibles are also being offered more than an NFT. DC is planning to launch a private DC Universe forum for fans who own the Cowls, which will offer behind-the-scenes content, special fan events, physical collectibles, and more. The company has developed a two-year plan that will give additional perks to Bat Cowl holders every 52 days, in areas including augmented reality and metaverse integration.

The digital collectibles will go on sale starting on April 26, with a special presale for those who own DC FanDome NFTs. The sales will take place at nft.dcuniverse.com, where the NFTs will be listed at $300 each. For the latest updates about this drop, collectors can visit that website or follow @BatCowls on Twitter.
