Happy birthday, Blizzard Entertainment! This month, the video game developer and publisher behind franchises such as World of Warcraft and Overwatch is celebrating 30 years.
The company is doing a lot to celebrate, starting with some merch: both in-game goodies and real collectibles.
For virtual shopping, there are Celebration Collection bundles available, each filled with extras for a variety of Blizzard games. These virtual packs will be available until Sept. 15.
For the non-virtual realm, there is an epic new Arthas Helm of Domination Replica, which clocks in at nearly 17 inches tall. This Blizzard-exclusive item is a recreation of one of Warcraft’s most powerful artifacts. It will be available starting on Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. PT, as part of the biggest portion of the 30-year celebration: BlizzConline!
Yep, the annual BlizzCon convention is officially heading online. This virtual fest will take place later this month, on Feb. 19 and 20.
The con will include a variety of events and preprogrammed segments — panels that dive deeper into Blizzard games, esports competitions, and more. There will be six content channels running throughout the two days, which fans can watch for free on the Blizzcon website, on YouTube, and on Twitch. The content will also be available to watch for free later, in the BlizzConline video archives.
A full schedule of events for BlizzConline will be available soon, but Blizzard has shared that the first day will start at 2 p.m. PT, while the second day will start at noon PT.
In addition to the Helm of Domination replica, fans can expect even more merch to coincide with the online event. It will all be available from the Blizzard Gear Store.
