“What in the name of Sir Isaac H. Newton is happening here?” The fan-favorite time-traveling DeLorean from Back to the Future is getting a new LEGO reproduction, that’s what!
The LEGO Group and Universal Brand Development have unveiled a new three-in-one reproduction of one of the most iconic movie vehicles of all time – the Back to the Future time machine.
With the 1872-piece LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine set, movie buffs and LEGO enthusiasts can now build the car from either the first, second, or third movie. Accurate to the trilogy, the set features wheels that fold down for flight mode, opening gull-wing doors, a light-up flux capacitor, printed dashboard dates, swappable license plates, a box of plutonium, LEGO minifigure versions of Doc Brown and Marty McFly, and McFly’s hoverboard.
Along with the new LEGO set, the LEGO group also launched the new Brick to the Future animated short which sees the intrepid LEGO minifigure duo travel through time to try and repair the time machine.
Fans can snatch the set on LEGO’s official website for $169.99 starting on April 1.
