Captain Marvel is going HOME.

Yesterday, Brie Larson posted an adorable photo on Instagram, featuring the clapperboard for Captain Marvel signed by the cast and crew, atop a calendar showing the newest hero made it through her final day of filming.

July 7 was just another Saturday for us civilians, as we recovered from hot dog gut and beer hangovers leftover by July 4; but for Larson, it marked a long-awaited homecoming followed by “FREEDOM,” according to her cutest ever homemade calendar, which also features a cat in a spaceship. Please, let this end up on eBay.

Set to premiere on March 8, 2019, Captain Marvel is set in the ’90s, and will feature Carol Danvers (Larson), an Air Force pilot whose DNA accidentally fuses with that of an alien’s, making her one of the most powerful superheroes on Earth, known as Captain Marvel.

??Avengers: Infinity War SPOILERS BELOW!??

Who do you call when a psycho with an Infinity Gauntlet starts obliterating half the population? Captain Marvel, of course. Because let’s be real: Only a woman can handle a villain like Thanos.

In the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scene, Nick Fury uses his extremely high-tech communication device (literally this thing looks like a pager straight out of the ’90s) to fire off a message before evaporating into dust along with everyone who means anything to us. But—what luck! A star logo appears on screen to let us know the message went through. And who’s logo is that? Captain Marvel’s!

We expect the upcoming Captain Marvel film will be an origin story, followed by the fourth Avengers installment in May of the same year, which will most likely pick up where Infinity War left off. Sound familiar? This song and dance follows closely to what we saw with Warner Bros.’ latest depiction of Wonder Woman followed by Justice League. And honestly, we’re not mad about it. Bring on the female empowerment, we are ready. Gal Gadot and Brie Larson forever!
