This coming March, audiences will finally get to experience one of the most buzzed-about new superhero films in years when Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel arrives in theaters. Following a massive year that saw the release of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and the recent Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will enter 2019 by going backward on the timeline for an adventure set in the early 1990s—an era left previously-unexplored in the MCU. With the stakes high, the arrival of Academy Award-winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers signals the formal debut of what Marvel Chief Kevin Feige famously noted as being a hero with powers that “are off the charts.”

The ESPN Monday Night Football debut of the film’s second trailer managed to draw a unique crossover audience to the broadcast, lighting up twitter with discussion of multiple suits, cosmic powers, and the warring races of the Skrulls and the Kree. Just as the full details of the film and how it connects to the forthcoming Avengers 4 are closely-held secrets, I too am keeping a big one…

I spent time on the set of Captain Marvel more than eight months ago.

I saw things. I did things. And right now I’m still not allowed to tell you anything else about it. Simply revealing the fact that I was there was subject to embargo.

What I can say is that you’ll want to keep an eye on The Pop Insider in the weeks and months ahead, because The Rock Father has some treats for you. In the meantime, go check out this look inside Marvel Studios that I shared with you last spring.

Stay tuned…
