Dr. Seuss Champion

… Because it slays.

Last night, Champion Athleticwear held a special sneak peek event at the Champion SoHo store in New York City, offering fans a look at a new limited-edition capsule collection (Champion x Dr. Seuss) with Dr. Seuss Enterprises.

The apparel collection launched online this morning and is currently available at Champion’s six retail stores in major cities across the country. Fans can ooh and ahh over hoodies, T-shirts, joggers, and crops for both men and women. Plus, beginning in late October, the collaboration will be available at PacSun locations across the country.

“We are excited to partner with a renowned brand like Dr. Seuss as consumers continue to look to Champion for unexpected, yet culturally relevant, capsule collections,” says David Robertson, director Champion brand marketing. “With Champion’s timeless pieces combined with embroidery and patches of beloved Dr. Seuss characters, we look forward to seeing how consumers of all ages embrace the collection. Our goal with each new collaboration is to consistently provide top quality, comfortable products inspired by like-minded brands that both surprise and delight.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Champion, this collaboration brings together two iconic American brands, Dr. Seuss and Champion, for a cool collection,” said Susan Brandt, president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P.

As one of the most celebrated brands in American history, Dr. Seuss’ beloved stories and characters are part of the fabric of pop culture. As such, it’s only fitting that last night’s event at 434 Broadway go all out, featuring a giant Cat in the Hat-themed crispy treat from Treat House, assorted snacks and themed drinks, a DJ, a slam poetry reading of Dr. Seuss classics by Urban Word NYC, and more.

The assortment features screen-printing, embroidery, and patches of Cat in the Hat, Horton, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Green Eggs and Ham and more. Both brands’ instantly recognizable logos are blended together for a fun, playful look.

Fans who want a more personal look can get Dr. Seuss-themed customization at all six Champion retail stores, with a special Dr. Seuss font offered at the New York, Boston, Las Vegas, and Philadelphia stores.
