Hey, this post has SPOILERS.
Chris Pratt took to instagram on Thursday to wish his pal Pom Klementieff, aka Mantis, a happy birthday. Wow, very cute Chris!
His post confirms that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will indeed start filming next year and both Pratt and Klementieff will star. But if you look a little bit closer, you’ll see he actually dropped a major spoiler about the film. So as the extra person I am, I shall now scream it from the rooftops. ?
Before we dive in, I’m about to spoil Avengers: Infinity War if you haven’t seen it yet so bear with me. As you may or may not know, in Infinity War, the entire Guardians team perished except for Rocket. Since it’s already confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is set to take places after Avengers 3 and 4, this raises some questions. If Mantis is slated to act in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, that must mean…she, well, isn’t actually dead?!?!? Excuse me—say what now?
I have so many questions (and only 2 percent of them are about Pratt and Faris’ divorce which is totally off topic, but also how could the death of love ever not be relevant?). Does that mean the deaths in Infinity War aren’t permanent? How does this happen? I am #SHOOK.
While I ponder over ways to make sense of all this, please look at this evidence below and let me know what you think in the comments.
