Good grief, can you believe the Peanuts crew is turning 75 this year?!
To celebrate, Cryptozoic Entertainment is teaming up with Peanuts Worldwide to create a new line of collectibles of which even Joe Cool would approve.
The upcoming collection will include tabletop games, trading card packs, and other novelty Peanuts merch. Though the line’s first products won’t launch until later this year, fans would be a blockhead not to keep an eye on these adorable collectibles.
Ditch the baseball cards; fans can now collect trading cards of their favorite Peanuts characters! The Peanuts Playpaks: 75 Years each contain five collectible cards that capture the goofy antics of Charles Schultz’s beloved comic strip. The cards will feature a variety of exciting interactive elements, like scratch ‘n’ sniffs, temporary tattoos, stickers, coloring pages, and plenty more.
The collection also includes a Lucy van Pelt game that doesn’t involve a football! In Peanuts: The Doctor Is In, fans will take a trip to Lucy’s iconic psychiatric booth. Players adopt the roles of Lucy and Charlie Brown, asking each other for advice based on Problem Cards. Like Cards Against Humanity, players will submit the Advice Card they think fits the situation the best (or worst), and Charlie Brown will decide which hilarious response is worth more than a nickel.
The new Playpaks will be available later this spring, while Peanuts: The Doctor Is In launches in the fall. To learn more about these upcoming projects, visit Cryptozoic’s website.
