Yesterday morning, the internet was buzzing about the new Avengers: Endgame trailer and poster. Yet fans were quick to notice something wasn’t quite right. Danai Gurira, who plays a Dora Milaje general named Okoye in the MCU, appeared on the poster, but her name didn’t.
The poster features 13 characters who survived (or caused — looking at you, Thanos) the decimation, but only 12 actors’ names were written across the top.
Many fans started tweeting at Marvel about the error.
Why is Danai Gurira not named @Marvel? She’s on the poster ? pic.twitter.com/U8hyoqSn08

Following all of the backlash, Marvel officially reissued the poster yesterday afternoon, adding Gurira’s name between Karen Gillan’s and Bradley Cooper’s. The studio tweeted out the new poster, (sort of) acknowledging its mistake by saying Gurira should have been included from the start.
She should have been up there all this time. Check out the official Marvel Studios' #AvengersEndgame poster. @DanaiGurira #WakandaForever pic.twitter.com/5V1veWMxlz
