On Oct. 16, DC Comics will be hosting its second virtual convention, FanDome. While we’re pretty much all seasoned vets of the online world by now, DC is adding a new feature to heighten this virtual experience: its first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
In partnership with Palm NFT Studio, DC will offer a collection of NFTs starting on Oct. 5 that are tied to the virtual convention and feature a wide range of classic comic book covers.
To access one of these NFTs for free, fans can register for the October DC FanDome event. Registrants will be able to collect their free NFT after enrolling for the event and can collect a second free NFT by sharing their registration on social media.
The full line features some of DC’s most notable heroes (and villains), including Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn. For each character, there are three available covers that each rank in a level of rarity: common, rare, or legendary. The digital collection will offer both vintage covers, such as 1987’s “Wonder Woman No. 1” by George Peréz, and modern pieces, such as this year’s “Nubia and the Amazons No. 1” by Alitha Martinez.
Aside from these exclusive digital collectibles, FanDome promises fans a first look at upcoming DC projects including a new trailer for The Batman, new content from DC League of Super-Pets, and a behind-the-scenes look at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Registration for the streaming event can be found at dcfandome.com. You won’t want to miss this digital experience!
