Heroes and monsters are colliding in one of the biggest crossover events of the year!
DC and Legendary Comics are celebrating the first day of Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) with the colossal reveal of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. In partnership with Toho International, the seven-issue series will be launching in October from acclaimed writer Brian Buccellato (The Flash, Injustice, Detective Comics), bestselling artist Christian Duce (Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point), and colorist Luis Guerrero.
What starts as a routine clash between the Justice League and the Legion of Doom takes a dangerous turn when the wall between worlds is breached and the Monsterverse emerges on DC’s Earth. The epic crossover begins when Clark Kent, enjoying a night off with Lois Lane, is interrupted when the entire city shudders under the weight of Godzilla emerging in the bay. A brawl of unprecedented scale and destruction ensues.
The first issue of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong will be published on Oct. 17 with a main cover by Drew Johnson and variant covers by Jim Lee and Scott Williams; Rafael Albuquerque; Francesco Mattina; and Dan Mora and Alan Quah.
There will also be a Godzilla “Roar Sound FX” gatefold variant cover and the Kong “Roar Sound VX” gatefold variant cover, both by Christian Duce, on sale Nov. 14 ($14.99). Sound chips in the cover have both Godzilla and Kong deliver battle roars when the gatefold is opened.
