DC Universe fans still not over Joker smashing the box offices have something else to look forward to: Cryptozoic is releasing a new trading card set in a couple of weeks.
CZX Super Heroes & Super-Villains includes a base set of 54 cards that have images spanning from DC’s greatest hits over the last 15 years. The first Chase Set included will be called Film Cel. Collectors can insert the card into a swatch display window to view a still from a DC movie.
The second Chase Set, CZ Star Power, will have the stars from various films on foil paper.
Seventeen actors — including Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ben Affleck (Batman) — have signed various versions of cards with their alter egos.
Hand-sketched cards will be the rarest find in this release. Cryptozoic’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Development Jamie Kiskis says the cards were “some of the most breathtaking Sketch Cards” the company has ever seen. They’ll feature scenes and characters from the movies and are totally one of a kind.
A binder will be sold separately that includes an exclusive Film Cel Card. Everything will be available at retailers on Nov 22.
