In a move that is truly not surprising, DC is officially shuttering the current iteration of DC Universe.
Next year, on Jan. 21, the platform will transform into DC Universe Infinite. This new subscription service will provide access to a broad library of DC Comics, while all DC video content will make a permanent switch to HBO Max.
A DC Universe Infinite subscription will cost $7.99 per month or $74.99 per year and provides access to more than 24,000 comics at launch, unlimited offline reading, exclusive events, and early access to new digital-first titles.
Meanwhile, all DC Universe original series, such as Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn (which have both officially been renewed for third seasons) will stream exclusively on HBO Max.
Current DC Universe subscribers who want to keep watching these series can add HBO Max to their subscription for a discounted rate of $4.99 per month. This special offer will be available now through Oct. 30.
If you’re already a DC Universe subscriber, your login will automatically transfer to DC Universe Infinite in January!
