May is just around the corner, and a new month means a new batch of collectibles available to preorder from Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant. The new releases, which were included in the May Previews catalog and will be available this fall, include collectibles for Marvel, Star Wars, Cobra Kai, and The Green Hornet. These collectibles are all available for preorder on the Diamond Select or Gentle Giant websites, and you can keep scrolling for a closer look at the lineup.
To start, the Cobra Kai D-Formz 3-inch PVC Figures strike first and strike hard with no mercy! These figures feature the stars of Cobra Kai, including Johnny, Kreese, Daniel, Hawk, and Samantha. Each figure is positioned on a flat disc base in a striking pose straight from the martial arts series. The figures are available to preorder in individual blind boxes for $8.99 each or as a set of 12 for $107.88 from Diamond Select Toys.
In the first episode of Marvel’s What If…? series, Peggy Carter becomes the world’s first super-soldier in place of Steve Rogers. Diamond Select Toys is adding the Sentinel of Liberty from an alternate reality to its line of dioramas. The Marvel TV Gallery Captain Carter PVC Diorama features Captain Peggy Carter as she charges into action with her trusty shield at her side. This 10-inch diorama is available for preorder from Diamond Select Toys for $49.99.
There are also two new, MCU-inspired additions to DST’s Marvel Select line. First up is The Marvel Select Dr. Strange Movie Action Figure, which brings Dr. Stephen Strange back to this collectibles line with new spellcasting accessories and a Sanctum Sanctorum base. Announced just in time for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the 7-inch figure is available for preorder from Diamond Select Toys. The Marvel Select Loki Movie Action Figure also brings the Master of Mischief back to the Marvel Select line in his full regalia. This 7-inch figure, based on Loki’s appearance in the first Thor film, features his ceremonial staff and his Asgardian horned helmet. This action figure is available for preorder from Diamond Select Toys. The Marvel Select figures cost $29.99 each.
Next, there is a new hope for that empty shelf space with the Star Wars A New Hope Stormtrooper Legends in 3D 1:2-Scale Bust. This 10-inch bust features a classic Stormtrooper in the iconic armor of the Empire’s soldiers. It is limited to 1,000 pieces and is available for preorder from Gentle Giant for $200.
Diamond Select Toys is also introducing new Marvel X-Men mini-busts this year. The Marvel X-Men Animated Jubilee 1:7-Scale Mini-Bust ($90) features the resident sparkler in her iconic yellow coat from the 1990s animated series as she sets off some of her famous fireworks in a 6-inch resin mini-bust. The Marvel X-Men Animated Professor X Deluxe 1:7-Scale Mini-Bust ($120, pictured top) features Charles Xavier in the comfort of his yellow hoverchair as a 6-inch mini-bust. His hand is pressed against his head as he prepares to use his telepathic powers. These superhuman mini-busts are limited to 3,000 pieces each and are available for preorder from Diamond Select Toys.
Gentle Giant is also expanding its line of mini-busts. The Star Wars Rebels Sabine Wren 1:7-Scale Mini-Bust ($90, pictured top) features the Ghost crew’s Mandalorian tagger in an animated-style bust. This 6-inch collectible includes an interchangeable head and arms so fans can display her with or without her helmet and holding her spray paint or blaster. The Star Wars The Mandalorian Fennec Shand 1:6-Scale Mini-Bust ($120) brings the elite assassin straight out of Tatooine holding her MK sniper rifle. This 7-inch bust includes interchangeable heads to display her helmeted or unhelmeted. These busts are limited to 3,000 pieces each and are available for preorder from Gentle Giant.
Last but not least, it’s time for the Green Hornet’s deadly sidekick to shine. The Green Hornet Kato Deluxe Action Figure is prepared to fight crime with more than 16 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories. This 7-inch action figure is available for preorder from Diamond Select Toys for $24.99.
