The iconic art of Walt Disney Animation Studios has given rise to an abundance of magical apparel over the years, but now Disney is entering the world of fashion couture.
The company has partnered with the House of Givenchy for a limited-edition capsule collection featuring a variety of ready-to-wear apparel. Called “The Wonder Gallery,” this collection pays homage to fan-favorite Disney characters with classic Disney iconography and character silhouettes on an assortment of T-shirts and sweatshirts. Each piece also features signature Givenchy leitmotifs, such as the padlock or the 4G emblem.
To design the capsule collection, Givenchy collaborated closely with Disney artists. The recognizable silhouette pieces feature Bambi, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen, and Perdita and Pongo from 101 Dalmatians on individual T-shirts. The collab also includes silhouette designs of Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle printed on a pair of sweatshirts and a T-shirt.
The House of Givenchy x Disney collection is available to shop now, exclusively on givenchy.com. A second capsule is expected to release later this summer.
