The art of browsing a store looking for the perfect product is something that is often lost in the process of online shopping, but fans can explore Disney Music Group’s new metaverse store just like a physical shop.
Disney Music Group partnered with Obsess — a platform that brings brands like American Girl, Ralph Lauren, and more — to virtual reality to celebrate 100 years of Disney. Disney fans can take a step into the Disney Music Emporium and buy some of Disney and its other intellectual properties’ most iconic soundtracks on CD and vinyl, including music from Encanto, Turning Red, WandaVision, and more.
While guests are browsing Disney Music Emporium’s shelves, they can also follow a timeline of Disney music history throughout the decades, from Steamboat Willie in 1928 to The Mandalorian in 2019. Each spot on the timeline has a QR code to listen to or play a trivia game based on the song or album, a little blurb about it, or pages that take fans to a place where they can buy the music or stream it online.
