We are just days away from this Friday’s Disney+ Day, a celebration of the streaming platform’s two-year anniversary. In addition to the slate of new titles and content previews that Disney has already promised to deliver on Nov. 12, there are also promotions and activations in store that are so good, they might one-up the platform’s initial launch.
To kickstart the celebration, Disney is hosting a special promotion that offers a month of Disney+ access for just $1.99 (then $7.99 per month). This deal is available only until Nov. 14 at 11:59 p.m. PT and is exclusively for new or returning Disney+ subscribers.
Disney+ is also collaborating with a host of retailers for special deals for its subscribers to enjoy. To start, shopDisney is offering free shipping in the U.S. for all Disney+ members from Nov. 12-14. Disney’s music merch site, Disney Music Emporium, will also be offering 20% off everything in the store on Nov. 12.
Funko is joining in on the fun, too, offering an exclusive 10% discount on all Disney+-inspired products at funko.com from Nov. 12-14. Customers can use the promo code DISNEYPLUSDAY and the discount will be automatically applied at checkout. Additionally, Disney is teaming up with Target locations around the country to host in-store activations, giveaways, and Disney+ sign-up opportunities.
If you’re not in the market for new Disney merchandise, you can still participate in the Disney+ Day celebration by heading over to select AMC theaters. Disney has teamed up with more than 200 AMC locations to host four daily surprise screenings from Nov. 12-14. For $5 a ticket, fans can indulge in some of their favorite movies and enjoy a featured short at the beginning of every screening. While we can’t say with certainty which movies will be airing, we can say that each ticket includes a free Disney+ poster and a special concessions offer. For the homebodies who prefer to stream Disney+ from the comfort of their couch, don’t worry, because there’s a host of exclusive first-looks and premieres for you to enjoy. Starting at 6 a.m. PT on Nov. 12, fans can follow along with Disney+ on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for new trailers and exclusive clips for upcoming Disney+ content. Quite a few new programs will be making their Disney+ debut on Nov. 12, including Marvel Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, a docu-special chronicling the creation of the recent Marvel Studios’ movie.
If you happen to find yourself at any of the Disney Parks on Nov. 12, you can enjoy Disney+ member privileges, including 30-minute-early entry to the park and special character photo opportunities.
