Some of the classic Disney Princesses have inspired a gorgeous, new collection of must-have fashion dolls.
Disney is collaborating with CreativeSoul Photography, a Black-owned business, to introduce four new princess dolls featuring natural hairstyles and Afrocentric fabric and designs. The four dolls in the collection are inspired by Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Tiana. Each doll has a dress inspired by her movie, but featuring vibrant colors and patterns to showcase her personality. Each doll also has a bag that reflects her movie, shaped like a pumpkin stagecoach, an apple, the sun, and a frog. The dolls all have natural Black hairstyles, including afros, braids, and more.
The dolls will be featured in EPCOT at the International Festival of the Arts. From Feb. 3-5, the CreativeSoul founders will be signing photo books and dolls while presenting a series of prints of the models who inspired the dolls, including a bonus print inspired by Elsa. CreativeSoul will also be selling wall art and smaller prints and showcasing the wigs and dresses that the models are wearing in the prints.
The dolls will be available for $59.99 each at shopDisney, Walt Disney World Resort, and Disneyland Resort starting on Feb. 3.
