Singer/philanthropist/icon Dolly Parton has partnered with Duncan Hines for an official collection of Southern-inspired dessert items, including cate mixes and frostings inspired by some of Dolly’s favorite family recipes. This collection will hit grocery store shelves nationwide in March, but some lucky fans will get an earlier taste.
Tomorrow, Jan. 26, there will be a limited-edition Dolly Parton Baking Collection available for $40 from shop.duncanhines.com while supplies last. These sets will include the cake mixes and frostings from the upcoming collection (Southern Style Coconut Flavored Cake Mix, Southern Style Banana Flavored Cake Mix, Creamy Buttercream Frosting, and Chocolate Buttercream Frosting) along with a collectible tea towel, a spatula, and custom recipe cards that are exclusive to the set. The towel and spatula are both printed with the saying ” If you are what you eat, then why not be sweet.”
When the mixes and frostings launch at retail in the spring, they will cost $2.19 and $2.09, respectively.
