In honor of 50 years of Rubik’s Cubes, you can unbox new digital (and physical) Rubik’s Cube-themed collectibles, comics, and shorts!
Fans can celebrate the anniversary of Spin Master’s mind-boggling puzzle alongside media company Doodles. You might recognize Doodles as the company behind the animated special Dullsville and the Doodleverse. Together, Doodles and Spin Master have created a “pack ripping” experience for you to discover online (and in the living room).
Fans visit rubiks.doodles.app, log into their account, and choose how many packs of Rubik’s Cube-goodness to purchase. Each pack includes two digital collectibles — you could rip open (virtually, of course), a limited-edition, online-only wearable or a reedemable. Doodles-lovers can use the wearable to style their Doodles avatar in the Stoodio.
If you digitally unbox a reedemable, you can trade it in for a physical Rubik’s Cube x Doodles collectible. Fans will then receive one of three items: a Rubik’s x Doodles Pastel Cube, a Rubik’s x Doodles Holo Cube, or the Eliantte & Co.’s one-of-one diamond-encrusted Rubik’s Cube. The Pastel and Holo Cubes feature Doodles’ iconic art style and colorways, while the diamond-encrusted Rubik’s Cube has pastel edges and diamonds on each face.
In addition to the packs, users can also read through a digital comic that features the magic of the Doodles and Rubik’s Cube partnership, as it showcases Dullsville and the Doodleverse characters Hap and Mello! A series of digital shorts that combines Rubik’s Cube and Doodles’ recognizable pastel-colored animation will also be available for your next viewing night.
At 4 p.m. ET on Sept. 20, Rubik’s Cube fans can “rip” their packs open in the Stoodio. You can also redeem your physical collectibles in the virtual Stoodio — you’ll receive an email to pay for shipping, and then the collectible will soon arrive at your door for display or play!
The redemption window closes on Oct. 18 at 11:59 p.m., so be sure to grab your goodies before then. You can find more information about the Doodles art style (and the Stoodio) at doodles.app.
