It’s Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan versus Buu, Cell, and Frieza — but instead of on screen, this battle is playing out on a chessboard!
The latest collector’s chess set from USAopoly is a battle of the wits designed for Dragon Ball Z fans. The set features colorful, sculpted pieces inspired by characters from the anime, who are split into two teams: protagonists and antagonists.
The hero characters are Goku as king, Vegeta as queen, Gohan and Piccolo as bishops, Gotenks and Future Trunks as knights, Android 18 and Krillin as rooks, and Super Ghost Kamikaze as the pawns. On the villain side, Buu is king, Cell is queen, Frieza and Android 19 are bishops, Raditz and Nappa are knights, Bojack and Broly are rooks, and Saibaiman is the pawns.
The orange board also features graphics inspired by Dragon Ball Z.
This set is available now for preorder from GameStop for $59.99. It is expected to ship on March 3.
