Aspiring Members of the Sisterhood, take heed! The Dune: Prophecy Experience will take over the fourth floor of the Javits Center on Thursday, October 17, at New York Comic Con (NYCC). A panel is also scheduled.
Fans can visit Wallach IX, the mysterious world where the upcoming Dune prequel series is set. There, the incredibly daring can join the Bene Gesserit if they survive a series of rigorous trials commanded by The Voice. Those who make it as members of the Sisterhood will receive exclusive swag as a reward for completing challenges.
The panel promises the debut of the official trailer and a discussion about what viewers can expect from Dune: Prophecy, HBO’s prequel to the 2021 film. Set 10,000 years before the film, Prophecy is an origin story that follows two Harkonnen sisters as they form the sect that will become the Bene Gesserit and wrestle for power. Con-goers can expect Showrunner and Executive Producer Alison Schapker, Executive Producer Jordan Goldberg, and leads Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, and Jessica Barden. The series will premiere in November on HBO and Max.
Dune: Prophecy is an adaptation of Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Published in 2012, it inhabits Frank Herbert’s Dune universe.
