Earlier this summer, geeky goods retailer the Coop debuted its Handmade By Robots (HMBR) collectibles line, a set of figures inspired by Japanese amigurumi — small, knit or crocheted stuffed toys.
The first set of HMBR figures — which Entertainment Earth unveiled at its Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) panel — were all about Ghostbusters, but here at the Pop Insider, we’ve got a first look at the next HMBR figure, inspired by the Big Daddy characters from the BioShock video game series.
This vinyl Big Daddy figure is seated, wearing its classic, steampunk-inspired diving suit. The windows in its helmet are represented by buttons, to align with the style of HMBR figures.
The figure will be available for preorder now from Entertainment Earth. It costs $11.95 and is set for a Dec. 9 release.
There will be even more HMBR reveals this weekend at New York Comic Con (NYCC), during the Entertainment Earth panel, which is set for 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. Check back on toyinsidestage.wpengine.com/popinsiderstage at the end of the panel for a full recap of the reveals!
