Mondo’s latest poster embraces all things Elf amid the movie’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
The poster features a giant Buddy the Elf traipsing through New York City, complete with the iconic skyline, ice skaters, and people bundled up against the cold at his feet. Buddy is also surrounded by snowflakes, candy canes, and other sweet treats that are staples in a good elf’s diet. The iconic Elf logo is even encased in a bottle of syrup (one of the five main food groups, of course).
This poster was designed by Skinny Ships, an artistic duo based out of Portland, Oregon, who are best known for creating vibrant art with color blocking for some of the country’s most popular brands, including Target, Chipotle, Disney, and more. Of course, Skinny Ships, also known as Richard Perez and Jennifer Derosa, also happen to be huge fans of Elf.
“Elf has become a tradition to throw it on while we set up the Christmas tree,” Skinny Ships says. “We’ll also often quote lines from it to each other and sing ‘I love you, I love you, I loooove youu’ to our cats in Buddy’s singing telegram voice.”
This poster will be available for preorder starting Thursday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. PT. You don’t want to miss it, it adds an adorable splash of color to any holiday aesthetic!
