Factory Entertainment is headed to the Twelve Colonies of Kobol with a new line of high-end collectibles inspired by the classic sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica. The out-of-this-world collection launches with a screen-accurate Colonial Blaster replica.

The creative team spent hours studying archival footage, images, and props from the 1978 and 2004 series productions to create an authentic blaster. The original Battlestar Galactica props relied on practical effects for shots, but this blaster uses modern tech to integrate electronic light and sounds right into the hilt.

The limited-edition replica retails for $499.99 and includes an individually numbered plaque, a custom display stand, and a certificate verifying its authenticity. Whether propped on a bookshelf or tucked in a holster for a Comic Con, this replica is a stellar addition to fans’ sci-fi collections! Don’t worry, though, you won’t be incinerated if you mishandle this bad boy.

This blaster is only the first of Factory Entertainment’s new collection, so be on the lookout for more Battlestar Galactica prop replicas, studio-scale models, helmets, and more through the rest of the year.
